Great Himalayan Trail Low part trekking
Great Himalayan Trail (GHT) low part trekking also known as the cultural route winds through Nepal’s mid-hills 1,500-2,500m high passing by small villages inhabited by diverse ethnic groups with the backdrop of the snowcapped Himalayas. It’s roughly 1,500 km takes about 90-100 days. The elevation changes on the low part are drastic and relentless. Plan on gaining or losing (3,000-5,000ft/900-1500m) of elevation a day, everyday. Passes on the low part can be as high as (14,000ft/4300m) so it’s not really that “low”.
